Building Permit Requirements

1 Hard copy set of plans (site plan, structural plans, and engineering calculations) + 1 digital set of plans
Dark Sky Compliance Agreement Form
South Summit Fire Clearance form. See www.ssfd.us.

When applicable:

If requiring Oakley City water and/or sewer, obtain a Public Works Pre-Construction Inspection. Call Public Works Director, Dallas Hansen, at 801-857-1212 to schedule.
If requiring septic system, obtain approval from Summit County Health.
If requiring well, provide proof of water rights including at least 1 ERU (Equivalent Residential Unit.) Additional testing may be required depending on depth of well, construction of well, and possible proximity to septic system/drain field.
If building is within an existing subdivision with an established HOA, letter of approval from HOA for project.
Encroachment permit as needed for city, county, or state road
