The Oakley Rodeo Committee is a working board consisting of citizen volunteers group of local businessmen and women, who are responsible to plan, execute, and oversee the annual Oakley Independence Day Rodeo. This annual celebration is possible due to their countless hours devoted throughout the year. In 2023, the Oakley Rodeo Board with the help of local partners significantly increased contestant prize monies to $20,000 per event (team roping equaled $40,000) for this "One Header" PRCA sanctioned rodeo.  For 2024, an additional event has been added "Oakley Xtreme Bulls" with one-header event where 40 world-ranked bull riders compete for prize money of $35,000.
