OAKLEY CITY NOTICE OF ELECTION

NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL OFFICES TO BE VOTED ON IN THE OAKLEY CITY MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION

The Oakley City Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 to elect:

Three (3) City Councilmembers At Large - Four (4) year terms each

PERSONS interested in becoming a candidate for office must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the City 
Recorder, 960 West Center Street, Oakley UT.  

The City Recorder's office will be open: 

Thursday, June 1, 2023, through Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 PM excluding weekends. The doors will close promptly at 5:00 PM on June 7th.  Please do not wait untilthe last minute to file.

QUALIFICATIONS TO RUN FOR OFFICE ARE: 

1. Be a United States citizen at the time of filing.

2. Be a registered voter of the municipality.

3. Be a resident of Oakley City for twelve (12) consecutive months prior to the election.

4. Not be a convicted felon unless the right to hold elective office has been restored. 

The primary Election, if needed, will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023.  The general election will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
